DEFINITION:
• Growth is permanent and irreversible increased in both size and complexity over a specific time through cell division, cell differentiationand cell enlargement.
GROWTH PHASE:
• Growth in multicellular organism can be divided into 3 stages
(1) Cell division that is the increase in cell number through mitosis
(2) Cell enlargement that is the increase in cytoplasm mass and nucleus size
(3) Cell differentiation that is specialization of cells or tissues
